Library catalogs typically include books, as well as all other materials available in a library, such as music CD's and tapes, videos, music scores, and periodicals. Library catalogs do not provide access to the articles that are the contents of magazines and journals. Use library catalogs to verify whether a periodicals (journal, magazine or newspaper) is available in the library, but use a periodical database to Find Articles (on menu-bar above) within these.
